Centurion Park Golf Club, previously Wallsend Golf Club, is in a prime position just off the Coast Road in Newcastle. When you step onto the well established parkland course, it is hard to believe that it is only four miles from the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne.
The Golf Club has impressive new facilities following a major upgrade and investment by the new owners Keeping Inn Ltd. The facilities include Happy Gilmores Bar open all day to members and the public, a modern 24 bay driving range, an impressive newly extended Phipps golf shop and leisure facilities including two squash courts.
The Course was designed by E Snowball and opened in 1973, being predominantly flat it makes for easy walking with two nine hole loops beginning and ending at the Clubhouse, it is designed for Golfers wishing to play nine, eighteen, twenty seven or thirty six holes. As you make your way round you can see how the designer has made clever use of the land’s natural contours. Centurion Park is in an inspiring setting where Golfers can enjoy a stimulating and challenging round of Golf.
